Yesterday the children had a wonderful day in the very windy conditions. They were team building in the morning. It was a joy to see so many different skills emerging such as perseverance, problem solving, critical thinking, leadership and above all support and respect for their team mates.
After lunch we took the power boats out. The 40 knot winds made it a very wet event but the children still relished the opportunity to take helm. Despite some being rather wet, hot chocolate, more cake and funny action songs kept morale high and warmed our cockles!
After a delicious curry followed by Banoffee Pie the children tackled the horizontal climbing wall. They all achieved more than they thought possible, supported and encouraged each other all the way. We have some true ninjas in the class!
