Maldon Court Preparatory School is delighted that it has embraced every challenge over the past months with care and diligence. From day one of lockdown, the School remained open for the children of key workers in all year groups, including our Nursery. We have delivered our outstanding teaching and pastoral curriculum throughout the lockdown to the children at home and we are delighted at the positive feedback this has received. We have continued to have fun, whilst learning, and all the time ensuring that our staff and children are safe and happy.
When the restrictions eased it was fantastic to initially welcome back our Nursery, Pre Reception, Reception, Form 1 and Form 6 children followed by Forms 2, 3, 4 and 5 days later when the restrictions eased further. This has meant that every child in our School has been able to receive a minimum of 4 weeks full time education back at school before the summer break. We are one of the only schools in the district to open our School on a full time basis to all our pupils.
In addition, we are delighted to announce our exceptional 11+ results. Our children excelled themselves with a 100% pass rate in the 11+ entrance examinations. With all five of our Form 6 boys sitting the exam being awarded a place at Colchester Royal Grammar School - we are one of the biggest feeder schools to this school in the county. Our girls were also awarded places at both Colchester and Chelmsford County High Schools.
Each and every child has achieved a place at their school of first choice, with academic and mathematics scholarships being awarded, in addition to the prestigious Miss Comrie Scholarship awarded to one of our girls, heading to Saint Mary’s, Colchester. Well done Form 6! We will miss each and every one of you - you thoroughly deserve your success.
We are recruiting for final places for September, so if you want to be part of this wonderful family school, just get in touch and let us tell you more!
